Newbie - combining files

Newbie - combining files

Newbie - combining files

(OP)
Hi, real new user here. I have a project where I have 81 seperate dwg files which should be combined to form a map. Is there any way I can do this in AutoCad?

RE: Newbie - combining files

Yeah, dead easy.
Start a new blank drawing.
Go up to INSERT and select BLOCK and then browse to one of the 81 drawings.
Choose where you want to put it.
Keep doing this over and over again, and you're done.

You're a hero! Thanks a ton!

RE: Newbie - combining files

You could also try xrefing them all into one file.  If they all share the same coordinate system, then each one could be xref'd at 0,0 and they will all line up perfectly.
