SW2004 Crashes on closing files

SW2004 Crashes on closing files

SW2004 Crashes on closing files

(OP)
We are running two (SW Certified)Dell Precision Workstation 360 2.4 GHz One GB RAM with SW2004 SP3 and an  ATI,Fire GL X1, 128MB video card. Each station was crashing 2 - 4 times a day. We replaced the video card in one station with a NVIDIA FX1000 and the crashing was reduced to once a day. We always crash when we are closing a file. We are running floating licenses and the license administrator is on one of workstations. Any suggestions or is a crash a day "goodness" with SW.

RE: SW2004 Crashes on closing files

We have similair machines. We have crashes more or less dependent on the "weight" of the files.  The heavier the weight the more likely the crash.

I have isolated our problem to the Wildcat card and I will be trying an NVIDIA 3000.

To answer your question - one crash a day would be a blessing for us when we are on the heavy assemblies.

RE: SW2004 Crashes on closing files

Have you installed the latest approved graphics drivers & switched the driver setting to "SolidWorks"?
