NACE0175-2003 interpretation
(OP)
My interpretation form nace is presenence of some sort of gas or vapor is necessery in a sour service to create the environment as described in nace. If the appliction for example is a liquid full vessel oil or water where under normao operating conditions no gas or vapor present, is this still covered by nace? When there is no vapor, there will be no H2S partial pressure.

Note that there are rules for both sweet and sour service.
Corrosion never sleeps, but it can be slowed down.
