Is there a way with all of Ideas hidden capabilities to export multiple iges file from a location?  This location might be a directory with a .pkg file, bin or the library.  I have a huge assembly and want the part to translate out in their assembled position.

RE: export multiple iges files

If the receiving system truely understands IGES 5.3 then export your whole assembly out of I-DEAS as a single file.

The receiving system should rebuild the Assembly heirarchy with all parts correclty located.

BTW, you have to use File, Export, IGES to get 5.3 If you use command line /xto co bo fc ex then it will export in IGES 5.0

Alternatively export using STEP (the whole assembly) as STEP supports Assemblies.

Any method of exporting the parts individually will export them in part position and not assembled position.

If this doesn't help, what system are you trying to export to, there may be other alternatives.

Maybe I need to clarify even more.  Can I run iges from a DOS window or UNIX window?

RE: export multiple iges files

No, I don't believe so.
