In one of the applications involving heavy wall thickness
36 Inch SS pipe spools , the wall thk is 50 mm. We have found some damages in bevels due to handling up to a max of 30 mm deep cuts.the piping is being built as per ANSI B 31.3
This defect is observed in fabricated shop spools .
What are the suggested methods of repairs? Can buttering be adopted for repairs?Any tips will be appreciated
