I'm beginning a corridor safety study. Which is the definitive guide to help me get started on this ? A quick look on ITEs website pointed to

The Traffic Safety Toolbox: A Primer on Traffic Safety

Is this the latest one or are there more ?

Please help guys.

RE: Safety Study manuals

That's a pretty good starting point. If you haven't already, get some training in human factors in transportation safety, crash pattern analysis and road safety audits.

in the mean time, here are some other references to add to your library:

Guidance for Implementation of the AASHTO Strategic Highway Safety Plan, NCHRP Report 500:
  Volume 4: Head-On Collisions
  Volume 5: Unsignalized Intersection Collisions
  Volume 6: Run-Off-Road Collisions
and possibly Volume 3: Collisions with Trees in Hazardous Locations

Pedestrain Facilities Users Guide: Providing Safety and Mobility FHWA

Accident Mitigation Guide for Congested Rural Two-Lane Highways, NCHRP Report 550

The two NCHRP reports can be obtained through the TRB website
