Panasonic Servo Driver Setting...

Panasonic Servo Driver Setting...

Panasonic Servo Driver Setting...

(OP)
Good day Everyone!

I've a question regarding Panasonic AC servo motor 750W, with its driver MSDA083A1A, and I'm using it to run under position control mode. But i need to use the acceleration and deceleration time in my application... So, how to set the driver so that it runs under position control mode but still have the acc/dec effect?

RE: Panasonic Servo Driver Setting...

Question: What is the acceleration and deceleration required for? Please, would you be more descriptive?

In my application, i'm trying to move a number of cups from point A to Point B with several indexes. And the distance between indexes should be exactly the same, so the servo driver is used at position control mode. Since the cups is filled with water, and when the speed of the whole process increases, i need the acc/dec to prevent the water to spilled out from the cups at high speed.

If this is the position control mode I am thinking of you should not be using it.  Use torque mode, the accuracy and control is much better.
Just in case you are using the full 750W you should be aware of the temp. they rate the output at.  In the past few years many mfgs have increased the temp. at which they rated the motors to well over 100 C.  While the motor may handle this you need to keep normal wiring away from the motor since it is probably only rated for 90 C.

Suggestion: The acceleration control may be simpler to achieve mechanically, e.g. by springs. However, the electronic control approach will eliminate the spring maintenance and replacement. Essentially, motor ramp starting and braking will be needed to be added or part of the motor controller or be programmed such a way. The motor controller tech support may have this information available since there are many applications such as this in existence.
