ASSEMBLY QUESTION

ASSEMBLY QUESTION

ASSEMBLY QUESTION

(OP)
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THER IS A WAY TO GET A PART COUNT IN AN ASSEMBLY? I TRIED THE FILE/FIND REFERENCES, BUT ALL THAT DOES IS GIVES ME A HUGE LIST OF ALL THE PARTS WHICH ARE NOT NUMBERED. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

RE: ASSEMBLY QUESTION

(OP)
Sorry, I am not yelling. I just have CAPS on because that is what we enter all of our info in as on solidworks files.

RE: ASSEMBLY QUESTION

menu picks "Tools --> Assembly statistics" perhaps

RE: ASSEMBLY QUESTION

(OP)
Thanks Tick, I would have been searching for that one for awhile. But I do have a follow-up question to this. I was wondering why the assembly statistics tells me that I have 83 components, and it still automatically puts me into Large Assembly mode. However I have my threshold set to 100 components. I thought the threshold meant that anything over that amount then it would put me into large assembly mode. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Or is this a solidworks mystery?

RE: ASSEMBLY QUESTION

I'm not trying to complain here... but did you miss the fact that I posted the same thing? at the beginning of this post? Just curious?

Most of this in the help.

There are 2 options in Tools\Options that can be set up so Automatic Lightweight is always on, no matter what the Thereshold is.

Tools\Options\System options\Performance\Automatically load Components Lightweight

Tools\Options\System options\Large Assembly Mode\Automatically load Components Lightweight
