making polyurethane membranes

(OP)
I'm trying to make small 3.5 radii membranes from polyurethane pellets dissolved in THF(10%polymer solution).  I'm casting them in aluminum pans and tried both air-drying in a hood and vacuum drying, but when I try to peel the membranes off...they cohere to themselves and won't unstick...kinda like when tape tapes itself.  Any ideas?

RE: making polyurethane membranes

I personally do not know, but I will forward this message to another Eng in my group, who will know what to do.  I know they have been doing some work similar to your project over the last few months.  I hope he can help.

RE: making polyurethane membranes

What type of polyurethane pellets are you trying to do this with?

RE: making polyurethane membranes

Hi, what is its application (PU membrane) ?

RE: making polyurethane membranes

Try teflon coated or glass substrate.  Be sure all THF is rinsed away before attempting to dry.  May want to cast an a surface other than that which you dry it on. Watch for shrinkage!
