Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

(OP)
We are an ASME Code shop looking for a list of possible suppliers of PED vessels.  We would prefer a list of European mfgrs as this would dramatically reduce shipping charges.  Doesn't seem like the EU wants any competition from US as everything is so expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

Monk75,

We have the capability of manufacturing PED pressure vessels (ASME U Stamp, ISO 9001: 2000, Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC: Module H), and although located in Florida, our prices are usually very competitive.  Please contact me and I'll see if I can help you out.

I'd like to thank everyone who has responded to this post.  I asked the same question on the CEN/ECN site and haven't gotten one reply.

Thanks again,

Check out the CEN forum, I replied to that message.

RE: Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

We are located in Italy and manufacture pressure equipment, mostly Heat Exchanger, according to PED directive, with module H and H1 with Det Norske Veritas notified body. Consider that our typical dimension are not so big (consider up to 20" diameter).

RE: Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

Before PED all manufacturers in Spain were registered companies but lists are not in e-format as far as I know.
Now this register doesn't exist.
You can browse for words "depósito recipiente presión caldera calderería reactor autoclave" or look for yellow-pages lists or asociations, for example;

monk75,

We are a Pressure Vessel / Heat Exchanger manufacturer based in the UK.  We are able to manufacture pressure vessels to the Pressure Equipment Directive (dir.97/23/EC), and are also a U-stamp shop.  We manufacture a range of standard vessels aswell as bespoke one-off designs.

RE: Looking for PED vessel mfgrs

Why don't you make the vessels?  You don't have to be approved to make vessels to the PED.  You may need the services of a notifief body to inspect them, depending on there risk category.

You can get a free copy of the PED from http://www.dti.gov.uk/strd/ped.pdf
