I have a grip program with a grx extension that I would like to modify. How do I open this program to do this. I have gone to the UG Open Grip program but cannot read this file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: unigraphics grip program

The .grx extension is the executable, compliled code. You cannot read it. GRIP source code is in a .grs file.

Companies provide the .grx so their customers cannot modify it. The GM toolkit is distributed this way.

RE: unigraphics grip program

If you know who supplied you with the .grx file, simply ask if they would be willing to send the source code.  If they do, modify the source code, re-compile and re-link the code to create a new executable.  You will need a UGOpen license to revise the grip.
