Results for deep beam

(OP)
Hi again!
Does anybody know how to interpret the results for a deep beam in SAP2000, modelled with shells? If I'm looking at F11 diagram (axis 1 in direction of beam length), for computing the tensioned bars at the bottom of the deep beam, I'm not sure how to interpret those forces. Do I have to declare a section cut? How?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Results for deep beam

Take a look at Thread801-117194: "Design a beam by using Shell elements" posted by jackyyau...

I answered him a bit superficially... If you want to know how to use section cuts I can send you an email with drawings explaining it.

RE: Results for deep beam

i would like to have this drawings explaining section cut but i think i can not write my e-mail here(Site Policy)

so it would be great if put this drawing on a web page

                                                    THANKS
