Using "Spaceball 5000" keys in U/G

Using "Spaceball 5000" keys in U/G

(OP)
Hi,

I just started using "UG" and "Spaceball 5000".  I would like to program the "Spaceball" keys to things like "esc", "F8" etc.  Do I write spaceball macro's?  Where is a listing of the keyboard keys for UG functions?  Any help appreciated.

Mine show up in the spacball dialog window.

http://www.cadpotato.com used to have a list of the keyboard accelerators (for v.18), which you can use in creating Spaceball macros.  I have a hardcopy of it, but seem to have deleted the file.  You can also see the accelerators (aka hot keys), by looking for the underlined letter in the UG drop down windows (if you have windows set to show them).

Using your 3dxware Driver you can add macros and save your configuration as UG-Macro-Draw -Modeling etc.
I had problems with the previous driver not executing the commands when I hit the Spaceball buttons.

The 3.06.0004 Driver works with macros. For functions that aren't default UG shortcuts just use the alt key accelerators and arrow keys to highlight the function and hit enter.

To read all the available "accelerators" on your system click on Information--> Custom Menubar--> Accelerators, and it will list them to the information window. I'm not positive, but you MAY have to set  UGII_MENUSCRIPT_SESSION=true for this to work.
