Fanuc 11m buffer overflow with perdator

Fanuc 11m buffer overflow with perdator

(OP)
Hello, I am trying to use perdator to feed a retrofitted Fanuc 11m CNC.  I can run programs on that machine but after 10-15 min i get a buffer overflow.  Anyone have any ideas about how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Cliff

RE: Fanuc 11m buffer overflow with perdator

You need a good parameter manual. Do you have the RS-232 parameters set correctly? Maybe slow down the baud rate some?  And not sure about the software, did you mean Predator? Make sure the settings are correct in it also.
And in the control panel in the PC doing the feeding.

When I slow or speed up the baud rate I get a framing error.  I have checked the RS-232 cable and that is set up correctly, and yes it is Predator.

What about in predator it self, is there any parameters there to change? How about the machine itself are you sure you don't have a bad board?
