Low Temp Bolting

Low Temp Bolting

Low Temp Bolting

(OP)
What are the low temperature (-30 deg C) effects on ISO 898.1 Grade 8.8 bolts?  ISO898.1 specifies a charpy impact strength of 30 J when tested to ISO 83, which I assume is conducted at a low temperature, but I don't know what that temperature is though.  Any advise would be a great help.

RE: Low Temp Bolting

Review ASME SecVIII Div1 UCS-66 and SecII A SF-568

RE: Low Temp Bolting

ASTM A-320's are low temp. bolt

[Grade L1 is 54/41J @ -73C]
