Estimation Of Turbidity in Product Water After pH adjustment with Lime

Estimation Of Turbidity in Product Water After pH adjustment with Lime

(OP)
Appreciate, if anybody can guide me to a good book reference to calculate/determine the approximate turbidity of product water after dosing with lime slurry.

We are using @ 45 ppm of lime slurry (95% as Ca(OH)2) to adjust the pH of water coming out of membrane plant from 4.8 pH to 8.5 pH. The membrane plant product water contains @ 50 ppm of CO2 which will react with the Ca(OH)2 slurry to form the required hardness and adjusting the resulting pH adjusted product water LSI to 0-slightly positive. I would like to predict the resulting turbidity to check if it is within the specified limits of 1 NTU.

Best regards,

VV

Why not simulate these conditions in a bench scale lab setup?
