Does anyone have any experience with splicing mineral insulated electrical heat trace? How long does a splice last before it fails?

RE: Reliability of Mineral Insulated Heat Trace Splice

Splicing MI cable is somewhat of an artform.  Only a handful of people in the US can do this type of splicing effectively.  In most applications you're better off replacing the length of MI as opposed to splicing.  Let me know some more about your application and I can help you out!

Good luck!
Ryan
