Multiple TDM?

Multiple TDM?

Multiple TDM?

(OP)
Hi all,
I'm would like to know if I-DEAS use more than one team (TDM)on one server. Because my company prepare to separate TDM, I should know that only I-DEAS s/w can do or not? or that required other s/w to do? or How can I got the detail about that?

Thank you very much.

RE: Multiple TDM?

Hi,

You can use as many Teams as you want.
You have to create owns startups to each team. No basic difference with Windows or Unix. Each team needs it's own team-directory. You can create similar empty tree and copy old parameter file there and edit it. Like this in windows:

1. starting command from %SDRC_INST%\bin\:
-i-deasogl_team1.com (points to correct setup varbs)

2. setting up variables from %SDRC_INST%\bin\:
-setup_varbs_team1.cmd (set up new IDEAS_PARAM directory)

3. Setting up I-DEAS parameters (xx:\team1\master\config\ideas_param10.dat)
-change all Team.xxx to point to correct team directory
-change Team.Master.ID (just random unique number)

Read carefully all comments in those files.

Hope this helps a little,
Hantte
