Making a fixed-size screen grab

Making a fixed-size screen grab

Making a fixed-size screen grab

(OP)
Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible in V5 to make a fixed-size screen grab?  I have been up and down the Tools > Image > Capture and can't seem to get anything to happen.

Thanks.

RE: Making a fixed-size screen grab

Hi,

Do this:
tools/image/capture

on the capture window:
click Red dot icon <capture>

on the capture preview window:
select the format/target directory, using the save as icon

even simpler if running w2k:
press print screen key.
open your favorite graphics application
edit+paste

cheers

AXXX,

I have done things like you suggested before.  What I'd like to do is specify the size of the capture, like 2" x 2" or 400 x 300 pixels.  I'd rather do things this way than have to keep going to other graphics programs and cropping my images, which I have been doing.  I use Capture and the Print Screen key frequently.

Thanks.

RE: Making a fixed-size screen grab

hi again,

that is a simple operation

do this instead:

click on the capture options on the 2nd step below

pixel tab

rendering quality-> custom

More

Define your size in the Image size window

cheers

AXXX,

I have done what you mention, but to no avail.  I believe I will literally need a step-by-step after you change the size, because I have never had success in this area.

Thanks.
