hi,
I often save a copy of my support file so that if something happens that requires me to re-install ACAD, I can save my lisps and shortcuts. Does anyone know if you can do something similar with your custom toolbars? When you create a toolbar, where does that information reside in the program files? What about your user preferences?

RE: saving custom toolbars

This site has some free tutorials that you may want to take a look at:
http://www.caddigest.com
Search keyword "toolbar".  The authors do an excellant job of presenting the material.

thanks smcadman, that's pretty much exactly what I was trying to find, and thanks to everyone else for the info sources.
