DC Motor (90VDC & 180 VDC) Wire Color

(OP)
What is the "industrial standard" wire insulation color for DC motor (90VDC or 180 VDC) leads?  I've seen some places that use black and others that use blue.  Are both leads the same color?  Are the field & armature all the same color? Thanks

RE: DC Motor (90VDC & 180 VDC) Wire Color

See ยง7.6 or NEMA Std ICS1-2000 on wire color coding.

At the moment, after signup, ICS1 is available from NEMA as a free electronic copy.

Suggestion: The manufacturers do not have to adhere to an industry standard in its entirety, if their product sale reveals that the deviation from the industry standard is more profitable.
