Sheet metal elbow
Sheet metal elbow
(OP)
Hi, guys.
I'm trying to create two sheet metal elbows, 90-deg and 45-deg. Basically, the part will be a cover for an elbow, with the material being slit at the narrow radius (throat?) of the elbow. Is there any way to design this and flatten it? I'm been pulling my hair out (what little is left) for weeks now.
We do these kinds of covers regularly, and it would be nice for the software to handle the pattern creation. If necessary, we could change our wrap design to match what the software could do.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Best of luck !

have not flattned it, but it consists of circular segments, so it should be no problem to make at the workshop.
