BOM Callout

BOM Callout

(OP)
The standard symbol used for a BOM item callout is a balloon, number in a circle, with a leader attached to the item. Can Pro/E create a BOM callout with only a number and the leader?

RE: BOM Callout

Hello,

There is a way, I believe, but its a bit messy.

In ADVANCED --> DRAW SETUP there is an option for MAX_BALLOON_RADIUS (under miscellaneous options, when sorted by category) change this to 0.01. You may need to change text size.

Is this any help?

Hope this helps.

RE: BOM Callout

You would need to define a new symbol instance, and use this for the CUSTOM ballon callout in the repeat region.

Make sure to include the proper parameters in the ballon text. See the ProE help files for creating custom ballons.

RE: BOM Callout

Hi Steve,

Nice to see you back on the forum.

Unfortunately, in a custom balloon you cannot use groups to hide the circle. No circle, no radial leader. I think this is the tricky point.

If Ben doesn't really need the radial leader, this is the solution, indeed.
