View parameters/design tables on design tree
View parameters/design tables on design tree
(OP)
Hi all,
Some months ago I couldn't see any parameters or design tables on my design tree. I solved it by checking some option in the Options menu
Well, I as stupid enough not to write it down! I'm faced with the same problem again, and this time I can't waste too much time with it.
If somebody knows the answer please help!(I use V5R10, P2 or P3, I think)
Thanks in advance.

RE: View parameters/design tables on design tree
it is possible to see the parameters relations etc through
tools >> options >> part infrastructure >> display >>
and check the options for parameters and relations and you will be able to see the parameters

RE: View parameters/design tables on design tree
By the way, I'm on W2000 and the trouble was that only ONE of the users had the settings right, and I wanted ALL users to have the same "startoff settings" on their sessions.
Generally speaking for all Options settings: are those done by the Administrator always "propagated" to all users?
It already works that way with Environment variables. I was just wondering if this logic also applies to Options.
Thanks!
RE: View parameters/design tables on design tree
Try to lock all (read-only) CATsettings files in CATSettings folder. Your administrator can create (and lock) for all users this settings (something like C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DassaultSystemes\CATSettings\)

RE: View parameters/design tables on design tree
If admin setup new catsettings, users should delete their own settings in order to have the new ones. that's how it works.
Unless admin lock the setting then even if users don't delete their own, that particular setting will be updated and locked!
As an on site support, i often delete user settings...but i ask what they (user) change in the default settings so we (admin) update new ref setting if needed.
Users flush their settings almost every day if not several times a day. We are using V5r12 SP4 on W2000SP2.
Have a look on the environment in the online doc...
Have fun
