Load patch in Structural analysis

Load patch in Structural analysis

(OP)
Hi,

Is there a way to apply a load (or constraint) to a surface patch? I want to apply a load to just a small region of a face on my part. But I can only select the whole face.

thanks

RE: Load patch in Structural analysis

Hi

You have to create an extrusion of some 0.01 mm on the face.

I just found out another way. Creating a small extrusion is not a good way of doing it because of the meshing.
I made a surface in GSD and used the sew tool in part design (or was that in GSD aswell don't remember) I then could apply a load to that surface on the part. Works Great.
