patterning a feature obtained from use quilt
patterning a feature obtained from use quilt
(OP)
hi,
I have been trying to create the vanes of a centri pump(i want a final solid not surfaces)using proe2001.
Using the curves(4 nos, 2 upper and 2 lower) i have been able to create surfaces using the boundaries option. Now i tried creating a protusion with the quilt option i.e after merging of all the surfaces.
when i try to copy -> rotate(for patterning),the protusion i get an error,
but when i try to do the same with the merged surfaces i am successful.
pl try to solve this problem & tell me if there is an easier way to get a protusion from surfaces.
pl do help.

RE: patterning a feature obtained from use quilt
You need to be copying or patterning all the features used to create your solid or else the feature will fail due to missing references.
You can create a local group "Feature > Group > Local Group," of all the features used to create the solid from Use Quilt and make sure they get patterned together. If you used angle reference plane to create your geometry you could do a group pattern for the surfaces and then create a pattern of the solid using the reference pattern option.
