Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

(OP)
Anybody know why my mouse/pointer speed and acceleration inside of the SWX windows is much slower than what I have set through Windows?

In all other apps, and Windows itself, acceleration/speed are great. In SWX, speed is much slower.

I looked through Help and Options and can only find mouse speed related to View Rotation (which is maxed out, anyway).

I seen older Logitech drivers do this. The latest driver (9.79.025) I have works fine. I turn the Speed to Fast and Acceleration to High. I Deselect "Disable acceleration in games" Doing this allows me to use the middle mouse button for panning and zooming.

Thanks Scott, that did the trick!

I kept working in SWX during the install (I know, I know, bad habit...) but the mouse suddenly jumped to life. Very good.

RE: Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

Scott,
I thank you to, I have had this problem for some time on my home machine, but not at work. Followed you advice and it now works great.  It was the unselecting the "disable acceleration in games" that did the trick.

Thanks for contributing,
Ken

RE: Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

There is a driver utility that gives access to more settings, located at:

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/213342/Logitech-MouseWare-Advanced-Settings.html#

This will allow you to choose to keep acceleration settings and button assignments if you so desire. I like (middle button) double-click for getting to the sketch info of a feature.  I'm morally opposed to double-clicking.

RE: Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

Thanks guys, this helped me out greatly!  I was quite frustrated by the slow mouse.

RE: Mouse speed in SWX not the same as Windows setting

I too have a button on my Trackball Explorer set as a double-click, but "morally  opposed"

?????
