Section lines on separate sheet...

Section lines on separate sheet...

Does anyone know how to have section lines on a separate sheet to the corresponding section view?

Thanks in advance

Jeff

What did you do?
(Just for my future reference).

RE: Section lines on separate sheet...

I don't know if he means the section arrows or putting an actual section view on another sheet.

Anyway, the solution is the same...

To put the section arrows on a parent view, when you want the actual section view on another sheet, you need to create the section view on one sheet, select the view you want the section arrows on. Then, move the section view to the other sheet (switch sheet).

But, he may have been talking about something else all together.

What I wanted to do is to create a 'stand alone' section view on one sheet, but have the section arrows on another. This is how I did it.

1. Create the section view.
2. Right mouse button over the new view and choose add section arrows
3. Change to the sheet with the view you want the arrows on. Choose the view you want the arrows on.

I think that's it as I'm typing this from memory.

Jeff
