What would be dew point for air as well as Natural gas, each having Water content:  14 lb/MMscf @85 deg F & 110 psig?

How it is calculated?

What should be the maximum height of LSHH (reference to base of drum) of a Flare Knock Out Drum? Say the drum dimensions are 60" x 20'. The 8" inlet is from the dish-end and the centerline of inlet is 12" from the top. I need the basis or general guidelines to set the height of LSHH (at which the plant will trip) so that it can be applied for other dia vessels (FKODs) as well.

asgar,

I recommend starting the last question in a new thread with a title associated with the question.

Look at API 510. Section 5.4.2 deal with sizing a flare KO drum.

RE: Dew Point Calculations

Looking for a little info on scrubbing techniques to help with the BAT (best available techniques)section of a PPC application.  What I would like to know is:

Possible methods of scrubbing a low volume, low conc (20-250ppm)VOC(isopropyl alcohol) stream, and their advantages/disadvantages.  Already searched for possible ways to scrub VOC's but could find no design info, basically want to demonstrate that it is not economically feasible to scrub these emissions.

Ways of scrubbing acid vapours (HF, HCl, HNO3 mix)and alkaline vapours(ammonia, caustic) other than using packed columns.  Especially any info on dry scrubbing techniques.  Again, want to justify the use of wetted packed columns to perform the scrubbing operation as opposed to other techniques.

Any information is much appreciated.

Cheers
Shaun.
