We are designing a new 2-story timber assisted living facility.  There is some question/concern regarding the wind load design.   The best description of the building geometry would be two crosses skewed from the horizontal (X) 10 degrees. The two crosses are joined by a non-skewed corridor along the X-axis.  The building is symmetrical about the Y-axis and non-symmetrical about the X-axis.

What should be the steps for the wind load design?  I believe the building can be assumed regularly shaped.  Should the building be broken down into simple parts (rectangles) and the loads traced to each portion?  Can anyone recommend articles, websites, texts, or general information?  

I realize that this may be a simple design but everyone has to start from the beginning.
