2D assembly sketch

(OP)
I have been trying to follow the instructions in the help menu of Solidworks on drawing pulleys and a serpentine belt then extruding the pulleys in the 2D sketch assembly mode. I have not been successful. Can anyone help?

RE: 2D assembly sketch

Sure, I can try and help!!

Somewhere and maybe someone else can remember where it was at, but there was a model already done that had some pulleys in it, with a serpentine belt already done.

You would have to in-context the models serpentine belt to the pulleys and when you change the dimension in the drawing (as long as it isn't a reference dimension) or change the thickness of the pulley model, the belt would snap to fit the pulley.

I'm I on the right track? If so contact me, and I'll help you iron this out.

Hope this helps,
