Heat measuring sensors

(OP)
Hi,
I would like to know if anyone can tell me what type of senor could i use to measure the temperature change in a tensile test piece made of aluminium. The tensile tester is the Lloyds LS series. The test pieces measures 60mmx30mmx3mm. The change in temperature must be measured to within 0.1 degree.

Thanks

RE: Heat measuring sensors

If you need to measure during the tensile test, it is not so
simple: you must assure good termal coupling without coupling the stress into the sensor. Most likely you can
satisfy both requirements only partially and this will make it necessary to slow down the test.

RE: Heat measuring sensors

Perhaps an IR non-contact thermometer will do the job, depending on the temperaure change you would like to measure. The resolution is about 0,1 deg C.
