Checked Parts Workspace Structure???

Checked Parts Workspace Structure???

Checked Parts Workspace Structure???

(OP)
We have a file structure that involves a network drive that has a folder structure that includes root folders for parts, assemblies, drawings, etc. and then under these a folder structure based on the file names to prevent having a bazillion files in any one folder. The situation in question is when you check a file out into your local workspace it recreates part of this structure locally.

The problem (sort of) is that if we check out a file from the network drive in \PartFolder1\10000 it creates a folder in our local workspace \10000 but NOT the \PartFolder1 folder. It appears to only work one folder deep. If we then check a file out from \PartFolder2\10000 it puts this file into the same folder.

Any hints on structure and local workspace handling that might help us out before we get nested too deeply into our existing structure?

Thanks in advance!
