What Letters Shell I use for Gas and Flame Detectors?
What Letters Shell I use for Gas and Flame Detectors?
(OP)
Hi to All
We have letters assigned for the common transmitters (Pressure, Level etc) at the P&ID diagrams, But we are arguing regarding the letters we need to use for Gas Detectors (4-20 MA output) and flame detectors (Switch output). Are they at the Analayzers Catedory? It does not look right to me to mark Fire Detector ASH-3205.
Thanks to all

The "B" designation is most common and flameout: "BA".
The analyzer designation is reserved for analytical sorts of measurments.

At our plant we use "BSE" for burner safety element or BE, BI or BM for Burner elemnt, Burner indicator or Burner Scanner.
All the gas detectors and alarms are designated as AIT or ASH etc for analyzers.
