Dear All,

We have Bailey INFI90 installed at our plant. HMI is Conductor VMS 3.0 based on DEC alpha 255 servers. As DEC has stop producing these systems, we are in a fix in getting spares for the system. ABB have recommended us upgrade. Rosemount has also come up and said that they can upgrade the Bailey's HMI.

Does anyone here has the experience of INFI90 HMI upgrade from CVMS? If yes, i would like to get help in choosing the best option.

Thanks and best regards,
Rick360 (Electrical)

"Upgrade" is always ABB's recommendation. Our plant uses Alphastation 255 OIS-43's running Conductor VMS 4. I found a power supply(refurbished) on website (using google) to repair one and had a bad motherboard on another and Compaq field service came out to repair it. After the buyouts and merger between HP/DEC/Compaq they still service the old DEC Alphas. Much quicker than sending it back to ABB.

Regards,
Rick
