Test blocks
Test blocks
(OP)
I am fairly new to power generation and I am trying to find a more dense version of test blocks for shorting current signals and opening voltage signals. Is this what the industry calls them, "test blocks"? Should I be searching for another name? Surely there must be a more compact version of the FT-1 test block from GE

I guess I am not using the correct name to search. Can anyone help? The relays were already purchased before I got put on the project but in hindsight someone should of ordered them with the built in test blocks. Thanks in advance.

Just purchased 3 of them for a project.

Open circuit a C800 current-transfomer secondary, or short out a 7500VA PT winding and you will appreciate the ‘elbow room’.
RE: Test blocks
Various test switches for relaying have similar dimensions. Besides FT-1, there are

Doug, your link goes to some search engine or something but I presume you mean AVO.
Test switch and Meter Devices have a great selection of what I need. GE does not appear to have more than 10 poles on one switch. None seem to have any that are much smaller per pole than the FT-1. The rotary test switches from Meter Devices looks like a great solution for space savings.
I have not checked out MMLG test switch yet but I will.
Thanks to all again.

FT-1s seem to have been ‘gussied up’ lately.
