when i edit my text....i double click the text that needs to be editted. when i do that my properties window pops up and i have to edit the text through that window. how do i shut that off and go right to the text edditing window?

RE: HELP EITH EDIT TEXT

Type DBLCLKEDIT and set to 'on'.

RE: HELP EITH EDIT TEXT

Are you editing regular text and mtext, or text in a dimension?  If it is in a dimension, it will always bring up the properties window.  If you are not editing dimension text, I can't think of a reason at the moment, but I will see if I can find it.
