hi all,
       I am want to plot result with few areas and volume isolated form my entire model..,my problem is after unselected the specific areas and volume ,again those areas & volume are present in the nodal solution plot(in post1 using ansys 6.1 &7.0 ).
     can anybody help me in this regard,

You would better select rather than unselect specific entities.

After you unselected specific area or volume,you should do as follows:
1.enter "Select" bar in Utility menu
2.select the particular item in the "Everything below"     according to your requirments.
For example, if you want to show the result of a volume, after select it, you should do:
Utility menu>Select>Everything below-Selected Volumes
Then you can plot the result as you like.
