API ForceRebuild in drawing format

API ForceRebuild in drawing format

(OP)
Hello,
I am using SW 2004 SP 2.1
I am having a problem with the method “ModelDoc2::ForceRebuild3”

I have written a macro that will go through an entire directory and change all of the drawing sheet formats to a new format.

My problem is that my code runs fine except for reloading the sheet format that I replaced in the code.

It is actually changing the sheet format it just isn’t updating the screen.

This was SW API support's reply:

This problem has been noted as SPR 68536 "Sheet.SetTemplateName is changing the template under properties but does not update the display with the new template"
I apologize for the inconvenience.  Is there any way you can work around this limitation?

I need a fix FAST!

Please help!!

Thanks,
Chris

RE: API ForceRebuild in drawing format

Try removing the old formats first, then running your "new format macro".

I have found that when changing a format to a revised one, I have to remove the old one (or change it to a completely different one) & then change to the new one, before it will show up on the screen.
