A BOM question
A BOM question
(OP)
We have an assembly that consists of two parts part A and Subassembly B
There are two versions of subassembly B (to give the manufacture more flexibility)
We would like the BOM to have two instances of the same item to reflect the two versions i.e.
Item 1 part A
Item 2 Subassembly B1
Item 2 Subassembly B2
Anyone have any suggestions
We are using SW2004.21 and excel based BOMs

RE: A BOM question
I guess hiding would work, if you insist on having both options in the same BOM. You could also group B1 and B2 so they have the same item number too. Could be confusing when ordering material though... might purchase both options if your not careful.
Another trick you might want to try is showing one option using dashed phantom lines while the standard option is solid.
