I am trying to purchase this book...

William D. Stevenson "Elements of Power System Analysis," Third Edition, McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1975

Does anyone know where I can find a copy?  I have tried a couple of online bookstores, and eventhough they say you can get it used, after you buy it they send you a reply email saying sorry this book is not available... and then they charge you $4 for your troubles!

Maybe a university?

I want an older version because I find them, well, better.

Thanks in advance.

RE: William D. Stevenson

I recently bought a 4th edition from a used book seller via an Amazon search.  Condition was not nearly as good as described, but what can you do?

I did not see any 3rd editions offered.

I think you will just need to keep checking periodically.

BTW, if you ever find Edith Clarke's two volume "Circuit Analysis" books for sale anywhere, let me know.

Good luck.

Comments: There are not very big differences between 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions. After, prof Steveson deceased, prof Grainger continued with this publication updates. Currently available and up to date version is:

Look inside the book:

Thanks for all the links everyone.

Can anyone suggest a preference on an edition of the book?

I have found a couple editions (IRstuff's link) now I need to decide which one... If I am going to all this trouble, might as well hit the nail on the head!

Thanks again
Tulum

RE: William D. Stevenson

I have the second and fourth editions. The fourth treats some topics in greater depth than the second.

Get an inter library loan from your local library.  I've always been able to get anything I wanted.  Then the office copier (or Kinkos).
