"PBP" ball valve

"PBP" ball valve

"PBP" ball valve

(OP)
Perhaps anybody can help me?

A friend in a german news group asks, what the abbreviation "PBP" on a ball valve means. Finally he wants to know the manufacturer. He thinks, it is an american product.

Kind regards

Virk

RE: "PBP" ball valve

I haven't heard of PBP, but maybe someone garbled PBV in translation?  I've used PBV ball valves from Zytec Global (the U.S. web site is http://www.pbv-usa.com/ and it has links to worldwide services) for many years and I've been very satisfied with the product.

RE: "PBP" ball valve

PBP means probably Pressure Bypass Valve from RK valve.

RE: "PBP" ball valve

Margot,
Are you sure?  Virk specified that it was a "ball valve" and RK's PBP is very different beast from a ball valve.

RE: "PBP" ball valve

If it is PBV and your friend is in Europe it is more likely to be "Pibiviesse" in Italy. This was the Original "PBV" valve. Zydell (Zytec) were their distributor many moons ago but there was some kind of dispute over the use of the name and PBV (the Italian Co) became Pibiviesse whilst Zydell continued with the PBV name. Their Web Site is http://www.pibiviesse.it

Hope this helps
