RE: Engineering Titles in the Power Industry

pasted this from another post today in another thread...

nuc (n.)
A veteran of the U.S. Navy and graduate of its Naval Nuclear Power School.

Nucs are both officer and enlisted.  Enlisted come in three rates, Machinists' Mates ("knuckle draggers"), Electricians' Mates ("wire biters"), and Electronics Technicians ("twidgets").  Really old nucs might also remember IC's in the program.

Due to illness, the part of The Tick will be played by... The Tick.
