Adding a word doc

Adding a word doc

Adding a word doc

(OP)
Does any one know if ACAD has a limitation on the size of a word document that can cut and pasted into ACAD (Version 2002). I have a document that is two pages long and when I paste it into ACAD it truncates at the page break. I increased the paper size inside word, in hopes that would help, but; no I still have the same problem. A fix would be great, closure will suffice.
Thanks Cad Kid.

RE: Adding a word doc

In AutoCAD Help search for "text files" and pick "importing".  Size and options are presented.

RE: Adding a word doc

I believe in AutoCAD 2002 the MTEXT limitation is 16K.  And you are experiencing an OLE limitation which will only import one page at a time.

Thanks Tracy' thats kinda what I thought. I just wanted comfirmation.

RE: Adding a word doc

Spanner is a great program for helping to bridge that gap for most versions of ACAD.  There are some drawbacks with 2002, such as Excel files lose centering and such, but it eliminates the file size issue.
