Civil Engineering References
Civil Engineering References
(OP)
Hello Every One,
I am look for civil engineering references (books specially). What i really want is where i can get to see the different divices use in the civil world (most water resources). Piping divices, drainages, stormwater structures, like valves, weir, spillways, pumps, etc.
I've got enough books with equations, formulas and all the theory.
Thanks for your help.
Any reference is welcome.

RE: Civil Engineering References
Here's one:
Stormwater Collection Systems Design Handbook - Larry Mays
I like this one because it covers a lot of ground, has enough data to use in design, and has a lot of photos and detail drawings, too. You can get it for under $20 at half.com, a helluva deal.
For TESC stuff the Erosion & Sediment Control Handbook, Goldman et al 1986 is quite good.

Check out Civil Engineering Reference for the PE Exam by Lindberg. It's the only book I used during the PE Exam (I took the water resources exam). I highly recommend it. It covers everything you could imagine in the field of civil engineering.

Scroll down to erosion and sediment control and you can download the State of Georgia's Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control. The manual has not only practical calculations but also color photographs of best management practices. The download is 134 MB so hopefully you have a dsl IPS otherwise a regular modem will take all night.
RE: Civil Engineering References
I've heard of lindeburg's book. But it's a bit too expensive. I will keep looking for a used one.
Thanks
