Macro Playback Error

Macro Playback Error

Macro Playback Error

(OP)
I know I brought this up a few months back, but it is very annoying that when running a macro, I sometimes get an error saying that a serious error has occured and the macro stops.  Has anyone seen this error before and know of any fix.  I know VBA is not the best environment for programming and it may be an error inherent to it.  Thanks for any input.

RE: Macro Playback Error

You can edit the macro and set up stop points in the code (VB). Every time it hits a stop point you have to push (I think f3) to get it going again. Then when it errors you will know which line is failing.

RE: Macro Playback Error

I've too have seen that on 100% proven out macros.  Oddly enough, if I just click OK and let the macro finish (or run it again), it usually processes o.k.  I've even re-run the macro multiple times after that, and it "usually" works fine except for that error message popping up.  Then I noticed that it usually happens right about the time SW is getting ready to crash, so after getting the error message I save and close all my open files, shut down SW, restart SW, then reopen the files, and run the macro...no more error message.

Ken,

I have noticed the same thing, that is if I close everything out it seems to 'fix' the problem.  Odd.
