I shall be thankful,if I could be helped in getting details regarding, chemical and mechanical properties of LM 11 alloy. also I would like to know if any one has experience in making sand castings in this alloy. Thanks in anticipation.

RE: Info on LM 11 alloy

Lm 11 is a fairy obslete alloy that has sorta fallen by wayside, if you are still intrested in the properties i can dig out some old literature in my loft. I can give you good data on LM 11, are you based in uk or elsewhere?

Thanks, I am still interested in this alloy, though I have some references. I am from India andhave a alloy stel foundry. Now I am venturing out into aluminium sand casting as a customer desires that I should process castings for him.
Thanks once again
