Drawing templates
Drawing templates
(OP)
I have been using solid works to design parts in 3D and it works great, recently I had to start doing drawings that could be printed so I could get my parts quoted...
I'm relatively new to the drawing scene and I'm looking for a little guidance. When I open a new drawing file, how do I add the boxes for bills of material, or to put my name, company information, material information, zoom ratio and all that good stuff into. Do I have to draw that manually?
I notice that when I try to create a new document a box opens and asks what kind of document I would like to create, there are two tabs, one of which says tutorial. I remember doing the tutorial a long time ago and the boiler plates or whatever they are called were automatically there, but now there is not a drawing tutorial file (???)
Thanks in advance for any ideas?

RE: Drawing templates
Check SW Help file drawing sheets, customizing sheet formats
Also for over 50 demos of SW modules, features, etc, go to http://solidworks.com/pages/programs/officeprotour/webregistration.html & if you have hi-speed internet you can start viewing. If not you can order the CD. The demos are not tutorials, but do show valuable "how-to" info.
