Economy

(OP)
Which parts of the country (USA) are busy with design work for commercial buildings? Which parts are busy with design work for industrial buildings?

Do you anticipate things will slow down with these huge price increases in construction materials (steel and lumber)? Will it kill the recovery?

RE: Economy

The prices will come down. Interest rates are low which makes the cost of borrowing money appealing to developers and building as well as owners.

I live in Florida and been here since 1986. I have not seen a slow day yet.

RE: Economy

While it may be a good time to build commercial due to low interest rates, there doesnt appear to be any new tenants to fill these new buildings.
I'm no economist, accountant, or such, but it does seem to me that construction prices have skyrocketed, and that there'd be no point in building if you cant get tenants to pay your construction loan.
