Any way to mirror a part and save it separately.  I can mirror the part but cannot figure out how to get it out of the drawing or delete the original part.

I assume that you want to create a new part which is mirrored to an existing part.

1. Create a new file then click the Insert Part Copy.
2. Select the file which is to be mirrored.
3. The part will be copied to the file.
4. On the Ribbon Bar click the Parameter Step.
5. Check the Mirror Body in the Part Copy Parameter Dialog Box.
6. Select the appropriate plane to mirror the part.

This will do the trick.
